Charming preserved old building with good location (close to a metro station) in a nice and traditional residential area of Rio de Janeiro. The hostel itself has bed boxes with curtains (which give us some privacy) and your own outlet for charging mobile and light switch, in addition to air-conditioning (essential for Rio's high temperatures) and lockers. Bathrooms are OK and separated by gender. Staff super polite and helpful and a nice swimming pool in the backyards. The hostel offers breakfast, but I can not give any opinion because I woke up too late. 🫣 Located between Largo do Machado, surrounded by nice and affordable restaurants and home of an open air craft market, and the the beautiful and not very explored Park Eduardo Guinle. The latter, a sample of Atlantic Forest, worth it a visit for a walk or even for doing some yoga, reading a book or simply relaxing with a picnic basket in its grass 🪴🚶🧘‍♂️

I really enjoyed my stay here. I worked remotely for the two weeks that I stayed. The internet was strong throughout the property. It was generally quiet during the day, which made it easy to work. I loved that the bunks had the privacy curtains. The rooms were cleaned everyday as well as the restrooms and the hostel in general. staff were constantly polishing, sweeping and cleaning. The restroom was always clean. The breakfast was AMAZING! There was a variety of pastries, fruit, eggs, cereal, etc! I absolutely loved it! Great way to start your day. The hostel is also located about one block from the Largo do Machado metro. They have day trips available if you want to do some sightseeing. I did two of the trips and had a great experience. The restaurant on-site was amazing! The neighborhood felt very safe. I would definitely stay here again when I visit Rio!

I liked the building a lot. Its beautiful and the Peruvian restaurant next to it is nice. The neighbourhood has stores and everything close to it. The breakfast is amazing. A lot of things to choose from. The wifi also worked well downstairs as in my room. The bathrooms, showers and rooms got checked and cleaned every day. The employees were super sweet and helpful. They helped me with all my questions. For a hostel this is a nice option to choose from if you also want a quiet environment.

Good breakfast. Buffet with scrambled eggs, sausages, two or three types of bread, coffee, milk, yogurt, several types of tea, fruits, corn flakes and chocolate balls. The room was quiet and dark at night. They also have curtains in each bed for privacy and sockets, so you can charge you phone while you sleep. Lockers inside the room and small shelf on the bed for personal belongings at night time. Clean restroom and friendly staff.

Room was clean and comfy. I loved that they had the option of same gender rooms with curtains along each bed for privacy. I felt comfortable and safe with my roommates for the several nights I was there. The breakfast was nice and you could eat indoors or out. They had a big screen tv in the event that you wanted to watch a soccer game.It was the perfect location near a local beach which was less touristy than Copacabana.
